On the one hand, money is important for our life. People can't live well without money. They need money to pay for clothes, food, living things, education, travel and so on. If people do not have money, they can't buy any thing. They probably don't have clothes to wear; they can't buy food to eat; they don't even have a place to live. There still are many poor people who don't have much money for those basic living things in the world. For them, money is the most important things for their lives. If they can have money, they could change their lives---they can pay for living things and education. Basically, we can say that a certain amount of money is necessary to buy necessary things and to subsist in life, but if a person has more money, their life can be more comfortable. Nevertheless, money cannot buy everything; such as family, real friends, love, time, happiness, health and so on. People are alive to earn money so that they can live , not only for money. Although money is a necessity, it's not the only thing in our lives. In my opinion, people who believe that making large amounts of money is very important may not have time to enjoy their lives with their families and real friends. Some of them are just like machines that make money.
On the other hand, being satisfied to earn a comfortable living is also important, but it's not the necessary. Of course, a comfortable living is the life that everyone wants. However, when you have that kind of life, you may not like it.
In my opinion, money is not the most important thing in our lives. It's a necessity. We live for life not only for money. Being satisfied to earn a comfortable living is also important, but it's not necessary to do so. The most important thing for me is to live a happy life with my family while earning money.
I once read a story from a magazine about a rich man. He was poor when he was young, but he had time to stay with his family and play with his children at that time. Because he loved his family very much, he decided to do his best to earn money and wanted to make his family a comfortable living. He was very busy earning money for many years. Finally, he did it and became rich. Although he loved his wife and his children, he didn't have time to spend with them, because he needed to manage his business everyday. An unexpected thing happened---- the relationship with his family and his real friends became strained. This made him unhappy. He began to think back about the time he spent earning money. During those years, he felt that he was pretending to be another person. He didn't even know which one was the"real" him anymore. When he went back home, he felt uncomfortable. His wife and his children were not like before---they started wasting money and ignoring him, just like he always ignored them before. His wife had an affair, and his children didn't study as hard as before. As he said at the end, " I would rather live a poor and happy life than live a life like this."
Making money is important so that we can live comfortably, but it's more important to be able to spend time with family while doing so.

I don't think it's so important to make huge sums of money, but I do think it's important to make enough money to pay all of your bills and still have enough left over to buy the things you like and to do the things you want to do, such as travel, fix up your house, buy a car, etc. :-)
Money can purchase you a bed but not sleep , so think wisely and act nicely .
